Julie Lewthwaite

Julie is a writer and trainer with experience in retail, telecommunications and enterprise. She is a member of the Society of Authors and currently works as a freelance writer, editor and proofreader, drawing upon some 20 years’ experience of writing a wide range of materials to help businesses and the people who work in them.

Whilst she is primarily a writer of business books and training materials, she has also written magazine articles, promotional materials and creative pieces. She is well versed in writing about 'soft' skills and also has a knack for making difficult subjects easy to understand.

Julie has created training materials that have been used both nationally and internationally. These have included: a two-week training programme for young entrepreneurs; a one-day business ideas generation workshop; and a series of one day training workshops covering subjects including customer care, time management, project planning and management, and building and leading teams.

Recent writing projects have included a wholly revised and updated second edition of the best-selling Everything You Need for an NVQ in Management and the creation of a graduate-level in-tray exercise to help job applicants prepare for assessment centres.

Julie is a skilled editor and proofreader, and has worked for both private and business clients.
