Julie is a writer and trainer with experience in retail, telecommunications and enterprise; she has some 20 years’ experience of writing a wide range of materials to help businesses and the people who work in them. A member of the Society of Authors, she currently works as a freelance writer, editor and proofreader.
Whilst she is primarily a writer of business books and training materials, she has also written magazine articles, promotional materials and creative pieces. She is well versed in writing about 'soft' skills and also has a knack for making difficult subjects easy to understand. Julie has designed and developed training materials that have been used both nationally and internationally. These have included: a two-week training programme for young entrepreneurs; a one-day business ideas generation workshop; and a series of one day training workshops covering subjects including customer care, project planning and management, and building and leading teams. As a fiction writer, Julie has published a novella, three novels, and five collections of short stories, as well as having stories published in various anthologies. Recent writing projects have included web copy for a website design agency; white papers aimed at executive career development; and articles on a variety of subjects; she has also ghostwritten a business book aimed at the SME sector. Copy editing projects have included training materials for teachers; web copy for a recruitment agency; a personal memoir; and novels in the comedy, fantasy, thriller, and crime fiction genres. Julie is a skilled writer, ghostwriter, editor, and proofreader, and has worked for both private and business clients. |
